Payroll Advisor
Location : Wellington CBD, National Office
Employment type : Permanent, full-time position
Salary : $70,000 – $79,000 (depending on experience)
In This Role
Carry out routine payroll administration and processing
Assist with preparing and processing fortnightly payrolls
Input, update, and maintain employee records
Support final payments, deductions, and ACC-related processing
Help ensure payroll activities meet all legislative requirements
Build and maintain payroll knowledge and technical capability
Provide timely responses to payroll queries from staff across the organisation
What you will bring
Proven payroll experience in a medium-to-large organisation (required)
PayGlobal expertise (required)
ACC processing experience and knowledge of UKG Pro is helpful but not required
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Solid understanding of employment agreements and pay classifications
Good computer skills, including MS Office and payroll systems
High attention to detail, excellent organisation, and ability to meet deadlines
Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong relationship-building skills
Customer-focused mindset and drive to add value
