Payroll Advisor

Location : Wellington CBD, National Office

Employment type : Permanent, full-time position

Salary : $70,000 – $79,000 (depending on experience)

In This Role

  • Carry out routine payroll administration and processing
  • Assist with preparing and processing fortnightly payrolls
  • Input, update, and maintain employee records
  • Support final payments, deductions, and ACC-related processing
  • Help ensure payroll activities meet all legislative requirements
  • Build and maintain payroll knowledge and technical capability
  • Provide timely responses to payroll queries from staff across the organisation

What you will bring

  • Proven payroll experience in a medium-to-large organisation (required)
  • PayGlobal expertise (required)
  • ACC processing experience and knowledge of UKG Pro is helpful but not required
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Solid understanding of employment agreements and pay classifications
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office and payroll systems
  • High attention to detail, excellent organisation, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proactive, self‑motivated approach with strong relationship‑building skills
  • Customer‑focused mindset and drive to add value
