This role is all about helping people through the unexpected. You'll be working closely with customers, assessors, and internal teams to manage and resolve claims – especially during natural disaster events.

Your day-to-day would look like :

• Responding to claims inquiries via phone, mail, or online
• Managing claims end-to-end, ensuring timely resolution and settlement
• Providing regular updates to customers in line with Fair Insurance Code requirements
• Escalating complex or sensitive claims appropriately
• Identifying and escalating potentially fraudulent claims
• Collaborating with preferred suppliers and ensuring service standards are met
• Following Toka Tu Ake Natural Hazards Commission (NHC) guidelines for NHCover claims
• Supporting customers through challenging and sensitive situations
• Working from our Auckland office, with flexibility depending on event response needs
