Our Metro Sports Turf – Citywide Team is responsible for maintaining and developing sports fields across Christchurch’s community parks. We take pride in delivering top-quality turf that supports everything from local weekend games to national events.

We’re looking for a Sports Turf Curator to join our team based in Wigram. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for preparing and maintaining sports turf to the highest standards, supporting events, and ensuring our fields are safe, functional, and visually impressive.

Key responsibilities include :

• Turf preparation and renovation for community to international-level events
• Implementing environmentally conscious curatorial practices
• Supporting events with turf maintenance and logistics
• Liaising with stakeholders, sporting groups, and park users
• Operating and maintaining turf equipment and machinery
