This is a pivotal moment for ChildFund New Zealand.

We're at a strategic inflection point, seeking to identify new opportunities, rethink how we approach our future sustainability and unlock untapped potential across the organisation through exceptional financial management, partnerships, investments and revenue diversification.

As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you'll provide strategic financial leadership and management to our finance and shared services function, and work with our Chief Executive and Board to explore innovative approaches to financial stability, diversity and long-term growth.

Furthermore, you'll contribute to governance support, work with our Pacific-based teams, ensuring robust financial systems, security and reporting, and collaborate across the organisation to achieve collective outcomes.

Ko wai koe | About you

We are seeking a senior strategic leader with proven strengths in financial management, people leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to synthesise complexity into clear strategic themes and adjust priorities accordingly.

You will have successfully developed and implemented financial strategies that support organisational stability and growth, ideally in environments requiring transformation or fresh thinking.

Ideally CA Qualified (or equivalent), you may have previous governance experience working with Boards and can take initiative to identify strategic needs and unexplored potential across an organisation.

Other desirable attributes include experience in multi-cultural environments (particularly the Pacific), knowledge of Tikanga Maori and Te Reo Maori and not-for-profit sector experience.
