We're hiring a
Customer Experience Owner (CXO)
in our
Lend & Protect Tribe
You'll focus on
credit-related applications
that power ASB's lending experience.
These platforms rely on robust data, reliable integrations, and secure connections across internal and external systems.
As CXO, you'll own the
staff experience
, partnering with business units, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure an
optimised, performant, safe, and secure
environment so our people can do their best work for ASB and our customers.
You'll collaborate with leaders across the bank and guide one or more
multi-disciplinary squads
(matrixed via practices) to deliver outcomes.
What a CXO does at ASB
At ASB, a CXO (similar to a Product Owner / Product Director elsewhere) is accountable for :
Strategy & Vision
: Turn customer and staff needs into a living, prioritised roadmap and clearly communicate this to stakeholders and squads.
Backlog & Delivery
: Maintain a transparent backlog, lead squads through agile ceremonies, and ensure outcomes align to Tribe goals.
Risk & Resilience
: Manage risks and remediation actions; ensure services are
highly available, resilient, secure, and fit-for-purpose
Stakeholder Leadership
: Be the go-to partner for internal customers—proactively manage demand, dependencies, and controls across Tribes and Platforms.
Financials & Vendors
: Own budgets and commercial performance for your services; manage vendor relationships and contracts.
Decision-Making
: Help squads make smart trade-offs and prioritisation decisions, grounded in data, risk, and value.
We're keen to hear from you if you have :
Background
in CXO / Product Ownership / Application Ownership or Enterprise IT Management.
Domain experience
in lending or credit systems (e.g., decisioning, origination, credit bureaus, collections, risk controls).
Technical acumen
across data and integration and how this shapes staff / customer experience.
Leadership
of multi-functional squads, with strong prioritisation, delivery, and stakeholder management skills in an agile environment.
Commercial savvy
to connect outcomes to budgets, benefits, and vendor performance.
Risk & compliance awareness
appropriate to a regulated financial services environment.
Communication
that is clear, persuasive, and outcome-focused.
