OverviewJoin to apply for the Manager Credit Decision Analytics role at Westpac New Zealand.Westpac makes millions of automated credit decisions for our customers each year, including home loan decisions, credit card transactions, and identifying customers who are financially struggling.
The Credit Decision Analytics (CDA) Team prototypes, designs, builds, implements and manages automated decision processes (strategies) to deliver Westpac's growth, manage risk appetite and enhance customer experience.Reporting to the CDA Senior Manager, the CDA Manager will oversee a high performing analytical team and manage CDA production and project deliverables.
Responsibilities
Lead a high performing analytical team.
Manage Westpac's CDA production and project deliverables.
Collaborate across the CDA Team to monitor strategy performance, identify and prioritise enhancements and ensure strong governance.
Drive innovation by identifying and validating new data sources and analytical solutions focusing on credit risk, affordability and lending suitability.
Mentor junior team members and expand the coverage of strategy decision engine usage across the bank.
What will you bring?
7+ years' experience in a Risk or Analytics role.
5+ years' experience using decision engines or similar advanced analytical software.
Ability to communicate with, consult and advise senior management.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the business.
Degree in a statistical, mathematical, economic, or related field.
Experience with quantitative analysis, data mining and data manipulation.
Experience with credit risk data and models preferred.
