Job descriptionAbout the Service Ward 10 is a 27-bed ward and is one of our combined medical and surgicalwards which specialises in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology. About you Experience in Cardiothoracic & Cardiology is essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Can work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team Ability to work under pressure Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals. The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused. Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand. - About the Role
- The nurses on Ward 10 are involved in pre and post operative care of thecardiothoracic patient, acute pain management with chest traumas, and ribfixation surgery.
We also are involved in the care of acute and electivecardiology patients who present with chest pain requiring cath lab procedures,TAVI - s, electrophysiology procedures, and heart failure management.You will be well supportedthrough our Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialists due to our widevariety of both medical and surgical skill sets.
We care forpatients who have undergone either acute or elective cardiothoracic surgery,and cardiology procedures.
