Night Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Fourth Floor and SAUPermanent, part-time vacancies
As a Night Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will : provide specialist nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery and to mentor staff so they gain appropriate knowledge and skillswork across the organisation acting in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader / change agent and care coordinator / case managercoordinate with other teams across the fourth floor to support the SAU projectwork with the Duty Manager to support admission and bed flow into the appropriate ward / high acuity area or for the Surgical assessment unitsupport appropriate safe transfer of surgical patients out of the Emergency department into the SAUensure deteriorating patients receive appropriate care and review following EWS pathway and utilising PAR team supportEnsure IT support systems such as TrendCare, SIPICS and VRM CAAG are kept up to date.Ward 4C is a 25-bed general surgical ward provides for both elective and acute surgical admissions, specialising in : vascularurologyplasticsbreastgynaecology.Ward 4A is a 24 bed General Surgery ward, with an additional four high acuity beds attached, specialising in : upper and lower GIelective and acute surgical admissions.Surgical Assessment UnitSurgical Assessment Unit (SAU) provides Nurse led work up of surgical patients who meet the criteria for SAU admission, allowing an enhanced surgical patient journey by earlier access to diagnostic testing, and where indicated treatments such as IV hydration, antibiotics and pain relief.
