Perioperative Services Manager

About The Role

As Perioperative Services Manager, you will provide leadership to the Perioperative Service which includes PACU, Coolock (DSU), Preadmissions and Outsourcing, ensuring efficient resource utilisation and meeting patient needs while supporting and developing the perioperative team.

Job Type

This is a permanent role offered fulltime, Monday - Friday.

Specific Duties

• Managing the daily clinical requirements of the perioperative service, including patient flow and staff allocation.
• Identify and develop staff to strengthen succession planning within the perioperative environment.
• Create innovative strategies to address skill shortages, improve staff retention, and ensure staff work to the top of their scope.
• Manage and own the perioperative service and capital expenditure programmes and budgets.
• Lead change initiatives to improve outcomes, utilisation and efficiency.

Skills and Experience

Alongside your strong leadership skills and extensive perioperative experience, our ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator with proven clinical credibility within the healthcare industry. You will also need to demonstrate the following :
