Our rail network is an essential part of keeping freight and people moving, and signals engineering is central to ensuring safety and reliability.About the roleAs a Signals Field Engineer in the Auckland Metro, you will play a key role in maintaining and upgrading our signalling systems.
You'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of critical rail infrastructure, carrying out inspections, fault diagnosis, repairs, and commissioning work.What you will bringAn engineering qualification in electrical, electronic, or signalling (or equivalent experience)Experience working with signalling systems, ideally in rail or a similar safety-critical environmentStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamClear communication and a commitment to safety at all timesFlexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidaysA full, clean driver licenceDesirableKnowledge of rail industry standards and practicesExperience with project delivery and commissioning activitiesWhat's in it for youAt KiwiRail, your contribution keeps New Zealand moving.
