- Aotearoa's health system is undergoing transformation under the PaeOra / Healthy Futures vision building a system where people live longer in goodhealth, enjoy improved quality of life, and experience equity across allgroups.Our People Analytics Team plays a key role in delivering accurate,timely, and consistent workforce insights to support informed decision-makingacross Te Whatu Ora Waitaha (Canterbury) and Te Tai o Poutini (West Coast).
The HR Data Analyst will be working with the team to support thedelivery and development of robust regular people reporting and analyticssolutions to assist sound decision-making and accurately inform the widerorganisation with relevant people data.
The role would carry-out regularreporting activity and perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis.As a Data Analyst, you'll work closely with other teammembers and stakeholders to :
Uphold data governance and confidentiality standardsMonitor and report on progress toward strategic workforce goalsDevelop and track people performance and outcome measuresAnalyse staff-related metrics to inform operational performanceBuild relationships with key users of workforce dataCreate insightful reports using both qualitative and quantitative dataSupport stakeholders with people data and insightsCollaborate with Maori and disability partners to ensure culturally responsive and accessible data representationSkills and experienceEssential :Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Commerce, Information Systems, Statistics, HR, Social Sciences)Experience and demonstratable competence in using data analytics tools specifically SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI (or similar)High numeracy and analytical abilityAbility to write clear reports and interpret dataDesired :Understanding of HR functions and processesStrong Excel skills for data aggregation and presentationExperience with HR metrics and people dataFamiliarity with the New Zealand health sectorAbility to analyse diverse data sources and make informed recommendationsWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.We embrace a workforce thatis diverse and inclusive so that we are better positioned to understand andservice our community
