A leading New Zealand-based innovator in specialist manufacturing is seeking a commercially minded Senior Data Analyst to join their rapidly expanding team. Responsibilities

First dedicated Data Analyst role in a high-growth business, designed to drive data strategy and decision support for the executive team.
Direct reporting to the CFO, close collaboration with the board, and regular engagement with sales, operations, and finance leaders.
Extract, organise, and analyse multi-source business data (ERP, BI tools) to provide actionable insights for sales, financial, and operational strategy.
Develop robust dashboards, forecasts, pipeline management tools, and visual / auditory reports to power business growth.
Automate reporting and analytics processes using SQL, Python, and modern BI solutions (such as Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel).
Collaborate with internal teams to translate complex data into clear commercial recommendations and drive execution of revenue and efficiency initiatives.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all business analytics, supporting leadership with powerful decision-support models.

Ideal Candidate Profile (Qualifications)

Proven experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and executive-level analysis supporting significant business outcomes (cost savings, profitability improvements, investment decisions).

Track record of building and optimising sales dashboards, pipeline analytics, or commercial data tools enhancing revenue or operational efficiency.

Skilled in SQL, Python, Power BI / Tableau, advanced Excel and ERP platforms; experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial settings advantageous.

Ability to synthesise complex datasets for C-suite audiences; experience presenting scenario models and what-if analyses to influence strategy.
