We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Leading Hand
to join our Ready to Respond - RFS Team based out of our yard in
Albany, Auckland.
Working alongside the Supervisor, you will lead and support your cyclic, first response crew across maintenance work within the Auckland, North network.
Your efforts will play a key role in keeping our roads, footpaths, and public spaces safe and well-maintained for the community.
Tasks may include kerb and channel repairs, pothole fixes, upkeep of minor barriers and road signage, and more - offering plenty of variety in your day-to-day work.
In addition to the above, you'll :
Supervisor and work alongside your crew to ensure they are working at their best
Coordinate resources, equipment, and materials for planned and reactive maintenance tasks
Ensure work is completed on time, whilst complying with all safety, quality and environmental requirements
Complete daily reports and relevant document
Attend to emergency call outs on a rostered basis and during standard hours of duty
We're looking for someone with :
A minimum Class 2 NZ Drivers Licence
WTR Endorsement and STMS Qualification is preferred
Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in RFS or cyclic maintenance
Be flexible to work AM and PM shifts up to 10 - 12 hours and weekends as required on rostered basis
Ability to read and interpret works schedules and compliance standards
Previous experience in a similar Leading Hand or Team Leader role is advantageous
