We currently have an exciting, full-time opportunity for a proactive subject librarian with a passion for supporting students\' learning in a tertiary education environment.
We are seeking a qualified librarian who enjoys contributing to a team, has a mature outlook and is ready to take the next step in their career.
We are offering an excellent opportunity predominantly based at our Otara Campus, East Tamaki that will enable you to utilise your current library skills while developing a wide range of new skills and knowledge in an academic library environment.
You\'ll be part of a tight knit, committed and supportive team of 3 Subject Librarian\'s who pride themselves on their ability to provide quality information services to staff and students.
What will I be doing?
The Subject Librarian role has a strong relationship and partnering focus.
Your responsibilities will include teaching information literacy skills to groups and individuals, liaising with allocated schools and participating in their programme development processes, collection development and creating and maintaining online resources including subject guides and library website pages.
What are we looking for?
A professional library qualification
A tertiary degree
At least two year\'s working in an academic library with established library skills
Competency in electronic database and online searching
A teaching or training qualification (desired)
A commitment to providing outstanding customer service
A passion to support educational success for all our students, particularly our priority learners (Maori, Pasifika, and students with disabilities)
A team focus, while also being able to work autonomously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong presentation skills
