About the Location

• Our department consists of Physicians in General Medicine with a wide variety of sub-speciality interests from Cardiology, Endocrinology to Infectious Diseases, as well as an outpatient team, specialist nurses, and visiting sub-specialists.

We are accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Basic and Advanced Trainees.

• Lakes is located in the central North Island of New Zealand - Aotearoa.

Rotorua is located approximately 230 kilometers (143 miles) southeast of Auckland, while Taupo is located approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of Rotorua.

• Lakes is a geothermal wonderland and is also home to several scenic lakes, including Lake Taupo, the largest lake in New Zealand.

Rotorua and Taupo are the go-to places for hiking, mountain biking, and water sports; you can also dive into traditional experiences and learn more about Maori culture in the region.

About you

You will have :

• MCNZ registration and or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

• a minimum of two years' post qualification experience, and a keen interest in providing acute and general medical care to our community.Working at Health New Zealand
