This role shapes strategy, governance, and delivery of data capabilities that power our Oracle Retail and Supply Chain transformation.
Based at our Auckland Support Office and reporting to the Chief Digital Transformation Officer, you will bridge business processes, technology enablement, and intelligent automation to ensure data enables real-time operations, smarter decisions, and future-ready innovation.
The data transformation program spans the full TWG ecosystem and is a whole-of-business, end-to-end initiative with deep integration across operating units and support functions.
Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Architecture – Lead the development and execution of TWG's enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with Oracle transformation goals.
Oversee the modernisation of scalable, secure cloud-native platforms and govern architecture to support master data, real-time data flows, and seamless integration.
Data Governance & Readiness – Drive enterprise-wide data cleansing, migration, and governance to enable Oracle implementation.
Establish robust master data management and stewardship practices, embedding data quality ownership across business units.
Advanced Analytics – Identify and deliver high-impact analytics use cases across forecasting, pricing, inventory, and personalisation.
Lead technical teams to ensure scalable solutions and maintain governance around model performance and transparency.
Leadership & Capability Building – Build and empower high-performing teams across engineering, analytics, and governance.
Champion data literacy and self-service across TWG, fostering a data-led decision-making culture.
Stakeholder & Change Management – Partner with senior leaders across Transformation, Technology, Finance, and Business Units to embed data into strategic conversations.
Communicate progress and risks clearly at executive and board levels, supporting change initiatives that make data central to TWG's culture.
Qualifications
Extensive Data Leadership – 10+ years in senior data roles, ideally within retail, supply chain, or customer-focused environments, with a proven track record of leading large-scale data platform transformations.
ERP Transformation Experience – Hands-on experience enabling or partnering with enterprise ERP implementations, with Oracle preferred, ensuring data readiness and alignment across systems.
Cloud & Architecture Expertise – Deep knowledge of cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, GCP), data architecture, and scalable infrastructure to support enterprise-wide analytics.
Strategic & Commercial Acumen – Ability to link data strategy to business outcomes, with knowledge across product, customer, inventory, and pricing data in retail and supply chain contexts.
Executive Influence & Global Perspective – Executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels, including Board.
Experience leading multi-region data transformations and applying data product thinking to unlock internal value.
Team Building & Cross-Functional Leadership – Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams across engineering, analytics, and governance disciplines.
