Au Mahi | What You Will Do
As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Applied Data Science, you will contribute to teaching and industry-connected scholarship within the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
You will deliver high-quality courses that prepare students for real-world data-driven careers and foster collaborations with industry, government, and community partners.

Mou | Who You Are
You combine your expertise in Data Science with a commitment to teaching, industry engagement, and collegial leadership.
You will have :
A PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in applied and industry-relevant data science, including collaboration with external partners.
A proven ability to teach, develop, and deliver innovative courses that connect theory with real-world application.
Expertise in data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, or equivalent).
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to translate data insights into practical solutions.
Experience in leading teams (expected at Senior Lecturer level).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to inclusive and collaborative practice.

This role sits within the Academic Staff, Associated Staff and Support Staff Collective Agreement and the following salary scale applies : Lecturer $94,181 - $113,616; Senior Lecturer $119,586 - $149,806.
