Overview
We are looking for a good kiwi battler who is as comfortable leaning on a farm gate and talking all things rural as they are in the yard and showroom exploring customer\'s projects.
Strong relationships are at the heart of what we do.
You\'ll do the leg work that makes things happen for rural producers; in return we\'ll provide you with a wide range of opportunities to develop skills and help you progress.
Responsibilities
Greet customers with a smile and a \'can do\' attitude, talk to them either in person or over the phone, and discover their product needs to ensure they get the best value option for their project.
Assist in the yard as needed, put orders together, use the forklift / loader and put product away.
Work as part of a small team to support customers and the store operations.
Skills and Experience
While a background in either customer service, yard work, farming or forklift experience may be an advantage, full training will be provided.
It is more important that you can demonstrate :
An ability to match our rural customer dedication and passion to producing and supplying natural products.
Self-motivation and reliability.
Honesty, integrity and a commitment to deliver what you promise.
Ability to converse with and understand our customer base about all things farming.
Being the sort of character that can get on with and relate to a wide range of people.
Physical fitness appropriate for lifting timber / posts with a commitment to safe work practices.
A willingness to be trained and learn new skills.
You will need a full driver\'s licence (or the ability to get one soon) as you will be required to drive our vehicles and obtain your F and / or W licence endorsements once trained.
What\'s in it for you?
We have in-house training and online learning opportunities.
We also pay for external training as needed such as forklift, wheels and first aid.
The satisfaction of building ongoing relationships with our customers - not just transacting a sale.
A position that can suit different stages of working life, whether you are starting out, looking for a change or to develop your current skills.
Team discount on commencement.
Work with great teammates who are committed to supporting each other and are recognised for their specialist knowledge.
