ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a permanent, part-time role (25 hours per week, Tuesday–Thursday) with flexibility to work from anywhere in New Zealand.
This role blends strategy and heart where you'll manage a Major Donor portfolio, grow new opportunities, and create meaningful donor experiences that strengthen SPCA's mission.
Your days will also include :
Build and nurture long-term relationships with Major Donors through authentic engagement.
Source and cultivate new fundraising prospects using SPCA's supporter database and networks.
Create tailored stewardship and cultivation plans that drive ongoing giving.
Present compelling cases for support and confidently secure major gifts.
Maintain accurate donor records and reporting in Raiser's Edge (CRM).
Collaborate across teams to align communications, share donor insights, and grow fundraising outcomes.

5+ years in relationship management or philanthropy, nurturing relationships that deliver real results

Confidence in having heartfelt conversations about giving that feel natural and inspiring
A love for connecting people's compassion with SPCA's mission
Strong organisation skills – proactive, reliable, and calm under pressure
Tech-savvy confidence using CRM systems like Raiser's Edge and turning insights into action
Alignment with SPCA's values of kindness, integrity, courage, and collaboration
Adaptability, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach that lets you switch gears effortlessly
