It's an exciting time to join our Sector Insights Group as our evidence and insights are highly sought after by leaders across the Ministry of Justice and the wider justice sector.

This is a highly influential Tier 4 role that leads the Reporting and Advice team who generate insights and advice for leaders across the justice sector.
In this leadership role, you and your team's work will be exposed to senior leaders, judiciary, and ministers.
The role requires someone who can continue to elevate our insights and advice from interesting, to useful, to used.
Working closely with the General Manager of Sector Insights and the wider Sector Insights Management Team, you will provide support across all areas of the Ministry and the three separate arms of government.

To be successful you will be a passionate leader and possess experience in :
Leading a team that produces analytical reporting and advice that enables decision making
Demonstrating success in a management role in a medium or large organisation
Working as a member of a collective management team
Working with Ministers and key stakeholders across government
Communicating with a wide range of audiences on a range of complex issues
Relationship management with an emphasis on collaborative working
Bringing a working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the implications of these for the work of Te Tahu o te Ture – Ministry of Justice
A tertiary degree in a relevant field

The appointing salary for this role will be between $148,972 and $206,570 based on skills and experience.
