Summer Marine Volunteer

OverviewMountains to Sea Wellington are a team of nature nerds committed to the conservation and restoration of our freshwater and marine spaces.

We work with Wellington schools to give tamariki the opportunity to get hands-on in te taiao with freshwater and marine exploration.

We also run public events, including our free community snorkel series over Summer, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to connect with te taiao.There are lots of ways you can help us here at MTSW!

In return, we promise you an awesome volunteer experience (we even have a rewards programme!) and opportunities to upskill with training.Our volunteers support us year round, but the summer marine season is especially busy!

ResponsibilitiesAs a marine volunteer, you would be responsible for taking small groups out snorkelling, under the guidance of MTSW staff.Help with set up and pack down for activities.Assist with land-based roles for volunteers who prefer to stay dry.Support outreach and engagement during events and school activities where needed.Benefits and TrainingAll gear and training provided.Volunteer opportunities available seven days a week (Mon-Sunday).
