Overview
Our Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Programme is a key enabler of our long-term growth and operational excellence.
From procuring or upgrading manufacturing equipment to expanding facilities and implementing new technologies, CAPEX projects are critical to ensuring our infrastructure and machinery support the evolving needs of our pharmaceutical operations.
We are now looking for a Project Coordinator to lead and support medium to high complexity CAPEX projects across our Auckland manufacturing sites.
These projects may include equipment procurement and qualification, utility upgrades, compliance-driven changes, and small-scale construction works.
Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, and close-out) while ensuring alignment with GMP standards, safety requirements, and business priorities.
You will also support other Project Managers and Programme Managers across the CAPEX portfolio.
Leading multiple CAPEX projects from initiation to completion
Coordinating internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and compliant delivery
Developing and maintaining project documentation including schedules, budgets, and risk registers
Monitoring progress, resolving issues, and escalating risks where necessary
Supporting procurement and vendor engagement processes
Reporting on project status and contributing to CAPEX programme updates
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related field
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in an industrial environment
Strong organisational and planning skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience coordinating or supporting CAPEX or technical projects in a highly regulated environment is preferred (e.g. pharma, biotech, FMCG, or nutraceuticals)
Proficiency in project tracking tools is a plus (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
Project coordination, project management or related training (e.g., CAPM, Lean Six Sigma) is advantageous
This is a hands-on role where your coordination and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to the success of our CAPEX programme and the continuous improvement of our operational capabilities.
