About the Role
We’re looking for a driven and energetic Business Development Associate to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in expanding our merchant network, identifying partnership opportunities, and driving adoption of AmuPay’s payment platform across New Zealand.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and reach out to potential business partners and merchants (SMEs, franchises, and enterprise clients).
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in the fintech and retail sectors.
- Assist in onboarding new merchants and ensuring a smooth setup process.
- Work with the marketing and operations teams to improve sales strategies and customer engagement.
- Represent AmuPay at networking events, trade shows, and partnership meetings.
- Report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and key market insights.
Who You Are
A proactive communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.Passionate about fintech, digital payments, and innovation.Self‑motivated and comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment.Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.Prior experience or interest in sales, business development, or account management is a plus.Preferred Qualifications
Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related fields.Experience in B2B sales, fintech, or startup environments is advantageous.What We Offer
