Their product range is used in restaurants, aged care facilities, and other commercial settings.

They are seeking an experienced Chemical Mixing / Batching Supervisor to lead a small production team, ensuring every batch meets strict safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the production team - Supervise and work alongside two factory hands in daily operations.Champion safety - Enforce strict safety procedures, including handling hazardous materials and PPE use.Oversee batching - Weigh raw materials, set up equipment, and follow precise formulas to produce consistent batches.Maintain quality - Conduct in-process quality checks (pH levels, viscosity, clarity, stability) and work with QA.Troubleshoot issues - Identify and resolve production problems; mechanical aptitude an advantage.Train and mentor staff - Coach new and existing team members in safety, processes, and quality control.Maintain accurate records - Keep detailed logs and ensure the work area remains clean and organised.To be successful in this roleMinimum 3 years' hands-on experience in a chemical production or manufacturing environment.Previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)Qualification in chemistry at NZQF level 4 or equivalent (preferred)Strong knowledge of chemicals used in cleaning product manufacturing (solvents, surfactants, etc.).

Familiarity with mixing / blending, reactors, homogenizers, heating / cooling units, bottling, capping, packaging, and labelling machines.Forklift licence (or ability to obtain).
