Linehaul Dispatcher

A well-established national transport provider is seeking a skilled and motivated Linehaul Dispatcher to join their busy operations team.

This role plays a critical part in the coordination of freight movements across New Zealand.About the RoleThis is a high-impact position responsible for planning and managing the daily movement of freight across the country.

The role demands strategic thinking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Flexibility in working hours is essential.

Experience in general freight is advantageous but not essential for candidates with strong dispatch or coordination backgrounds.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and schedule nationwide deliveries and collections to optimise fleet performanceAllocate jobs to drivers and monitor vehicle movements in real timeCommunicate effectively with drivers, contractors, warehouse teams, and customersEnsure full compliance with transport regulations, driver hours, and health & safety standardsIdentify and secure additional loads to maximise route profitabilityMaintain accurate records using transport management systemsSupport incident reporting, safety checks, and customer service excellenceCandidate Profile1-3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or transport operationsStrong planning, problem-solving, and time management skillsKnowledge of transport regulations and compliance (preferred)Experience in general freight (ideal but not required)Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft OfficeAbility to remain calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and work collaborativelyPreferred Location - WellingtonHow to ApplyPlease apply via the advertisement or for a confidential chat and questions contact Jared on #SCR-jared-mccarthy
