Excavator Operator

Overview

With the Christchurch Civil Construction sector heating up for the summer season, we're on the hunt for experienced Machine Operators to join the growing list of projects across the region.

The right candidate will have the ability to operate a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators for precision work, able to lead a small team when required and carry out the role safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, rollers, dump trucks, etc.) for construction and civil projects

Lead a small team when required and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in construction or civil

Experience operating heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, rollers, dump trucks, etc.)

Full Clean Class 1 licence with WTR (Class 2 preferred)

Strong work ethic with good communication skills

Competent with Health and Safety procedures

High personal standards and presentation of work

Drug-free (Pre-employment, reasonable cause, post-incident and random drug testing)
