Overview
Partner Support Associate, Private Counsel is based in our Winnipeg office. This role serves as the first point of contact for Wellington-Altus Private Counsel (WAPC) and supports advisory teams by handling queries, escalations, and problem resolution. The role collaborates with internal departments and external partners and works with the Lead Process Specialist to document and review processes for continuous improvement.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Lead, Operations Account Services, Private Counsel Operations, the Partner Support Associate acts as a primary contact for internal departments and external partners, including custodians and service providers. The incumbent will collaborate to document and review processes, identify improvements, and contribute to efficiency gains.
Key responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact and provide outstanding support to the advisory teams within Wellington-Altus Private Counsel.Handle queries and escalations, and provide timely resolutions to ensure smooth operation.Collaborate with internal departments and external partners (custodians and service providers) to address inquiries and maintain strong working relationships.Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, streamline workflows, and implement best practices.Assist in the development and maintenance of knowledge resources, guidelines, and standard operating procedures to facilitate effective information sharing and consistent service delivery.Stay up to date with process changes and best practices to continually enhance knowledge and support the advisory teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex issues, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.Regularly report on key performance metrics (e.g., response times, issue resolution rates) to the Manager, Private Counsel Operations.Prepare and distribute client communications, including quarterly statements.Undertake project work as needed to enhance WAPC Operations.Review and address custodial reporting requirements.Identify training opportunities and areas for procedure improvements.Provide exceptional support to the advisory teams within Wellington-Altus Private Counsel.Perform other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess
A high school diploma or equivalent (Diploma preferred).Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer support or advisor-facing role within the financial services industry.Experience in wealth management / financial services or other regulated industry is a strong asset.Investment Support and Private Counsel experience would be considered an asset.Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) would be considered an asset.Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.Strong knowledge and willingness to learn new technology applications quickly (e.g., DocuSign, custodian applications, WA systems).
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach to handling inquiries and providing support.Familiarity with investment products, financial advisory services, and industry regulations is highly desirable.Proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Passion for continuous learning and the ability to review and interpret the full scope of situations, making necessary connections and recommendations for full resolution.Conditions of employment
