Senior Data Business Analyst

Join us as a Senior Data Business Analyst and help shape the future of data-driven decision making for our Business and Corporate Banking teams.

As Senior Data Business Analyst, you will play a key role in managing and uplifting the quality and accuracy of customer data.

You will execute ASB's Federated Data Ownership responsibilities, produce high-quality business requirements and process flows, and maintain a central register of mapped data fields and system touchpoints.

You will work closely with Enterprise Data & Analytics and the Data Management Office to identify, map, and manage data elements, draw out end-to-end data lineage, and support data deletion projects.

Your insights and analytics will help inform business decisions, improve outcomes for customers and staff, and ensure we meet regulatory, customer, and bank requirements for record management.

You will also contribute to a positive team culture and role-model ASB's risk culture, with a strong focus on conduct, privacy, and data risk.

You will have at least seven years' experience in financial services or a relevant sector, with five or more years in data analytics.

You are highly skilled in SQL, Excel, GDW, SAS, and have a strong understanding of data processes, governance, and control environments.

Your project management experience means you can deliver insights for complex change, and you are expert at translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

You are a strong communicator, able to build relationships and manage stakeholders at all levels, and you thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Your relentless focus on outcomes, sound judgment, and ability to juggle multiple priorities will set you up for success in this role.
