This is a full-time position working 40 hours Monday to Friday, business hours and based at Middlemore Hospital.
The successful applicant will be one of a team in the Clinical Transcription Service, which provides medical transcriptionist support through Dictaphone typing for various Clinical Services.We offer an excellent training programme to ensure staffs are able to work independently in a short time frame, and ongoing supports are provided for all employees.About youIf you have previous medical experience, then this is a great opportunity.
We will consider applicants who do not have a medical background, but have proven fast, accurate Dictaphone typing, which are essential, as it is very a busy, fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will need to have;Dictaphone typing experienceMinimum typing speed of 55wpmIntermediate level of MS Office Word & OutlookAwareness and understanding of patient confidentialityHigh attention to detailAbility to work under pressurePrevious experience in a health care setting and knowledge of Patient Information Management Systems (i.PM / PiMs) is advantageous.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
