OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-regarded contractor based in the Waikato region.

This role is well-suited to someone who's confident in pricing, managing, and running their own projects from start to finish.Projects are diverse and range across light commercial, residential, and small-scale industrial sectors – no two days will look the same, and your experience will grow quickly in this hands-on role.You'll be involved across all project phases, from tendering and procurement through to contract administration and final accounts.ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissionsProcure subcontractors and manage contract negotiationsAdminister contracts and variationsMonitor project costs and ensure financial targets are metLiaise with clients, suppliers, and site teamsDeliver multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervisionWhat We're Looking ForTo be successful, you'll bring : A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management3–8+ years' QS experience (Intermediate or Senior level)Solid understanding of NZS3910 and other standard construction contractsProven experience managing project finances independentlyStrong communication and organisational skillsA proactive, solutions-focused mindsetWhat's on OfferA role with real autonomy and ownershipA collaborative, small-team environment where your input is valuedExposure to a wide range of interesting projectsSupport from senior leadership when needed, without micro-managementCompetitive salary based on experienceCareer progression within a well-established companyThe timing : The role isn't urgent, but we are looking to onboard the right person before Christmas or early in the New Year to align with upcoming project demands.Interested?
