Schedule : Mon-Fri; 8 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm
Scope of Position : Process income from all Corps and Area Services into the accounting package while adhering to The Salvation Army's accounting policies and procedures.
Apply accounting principles and practices following standardized, well-established procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
Institute safeguards to ensure the integrity and maintenance of the accounting system.
Assist with the preparation of financial-related materials for audits.
Assist in month-end closing procedures.
Input financial-related data into computer systems and maintain financial reports and records related to programs.
Maintain and oversee the maintenance of financial documents.
Assist in the review and reconciliation of credit card transactions.
Provide support in planning, executing, and monitoring of financial projects and initiatives.
Monitor and analyze incoming data streams to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Record and post income into the computer system and generate income receipts.
Provide coverage for the Accounts Payable Clerks as needed.
Associate degree in Accounting / Business Management or three years of relevant experience preferred.
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data accurately.
Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
Well-organized with strong initiative and follow-through.
Valid driver's license meeting The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
