We're on the lookout for a Senior Risk Specialist to help us deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing airport operations across our domestic and international network.
This is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of safety and risk management at Air New Zealand.
You'll be part of a passionate team that partners with airport leaders, delivery squads, and corporate safety functions to embed safety and risk into every aspect of our operations.
What you'll be doing
Lead safety and risk initiatives across our Airports network, aligned with our Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including through the delivery of Operational Risk Management Plans
Drive and embed the Airports Safety Roadmap, helping our operations to deliver safe outcomes every day
Partner with airport leaders and third-party handlers to strengthen safety ownership and foster a proactive safety culture
Monitor and analyse safety performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Facilitate forums and workshops to build awareness and capability in safety and risk practices
Support audits and regulatory review and prepare insights and reports for senior leadership
What you'll bring
Extensive experience in safety and risk management within a regulated operational environment (aviation preferred)
Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, with the ability to apply them in complex, fast-paced settings
Proven ability to analyse data and lead improvement initiativesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence at all levels of the organization
A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
Tertiary qualification in safety, risk, aviation or a related field preferred.
Professional certifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, ICAM) are a bonus
