Category Finance Analyst

Summary
The role owns financial reporting and analysis through the Monthly Performance Review & Forecasting processes, is responsible for developing the annual operating plan, and works with cross‑functional stakeholders (Revenue Management, Category Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations) to deliver the year and plan the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze actual performance using variance analysis to determine root causes.
- Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Trade Finance and Revenue Management to vet financials of customer‑facing opportunities and assess trade spend vs plan and trends over time.
- Provide timely information and insights to the cross‑functional team to support business decisions.
- Scope risks and opportunities for gap‑closure, driving the critical path with key stakeholders.
- Complete actual and forecast report preparation for central finance tasks.
- Own Monthly Performance Reporting, ensuring business drivers of performance vs plan and prior year are understood and communicated using Price‑Volume‑Mix analysis.
- Prepare inputs for and analyze financial forecast, Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan, including zero‑based budgeting.
- Collaborate with Marketing on innovation P&L development.
- Collaborate with Operations to support complete business reporting and understanding.
- Perform financial modeling, scenario planning, and provide key insights and recommendations to the BU.

At least 2 years' work experience in financial business partnering; experience in FCMG is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred.Strong attention to detail and stakeholder engagement to provide insights and drive results for the BU.Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Systems knowledge a plus (Tableau, Demantra, JDA, SAP, IRi tools such as Temple, UNIFY, Quantium).Passionate and driven to deliver results.Strong analytical skills and financial acumen to assess data and explain key drivers to senior audiences.Strategic thinking about data and translating insights into action.Problem‑solving mindset with ability to navigate a high‑pace environment.About Us
