This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for either an established senior technician or a technician ready to take the next step in their CMT laboratory testing career.
The role is hands-on and physically demanding, requiring a reasonable level of fitness.

Conduct geotechnical laboratory tests on soil, rock, aggregate, and concrete samples
Perform all work in accordance with IANZ accreditation and project management system
Sign off testing and reports as KTP
Ensure laboratory calibrations are complete and accurate
Train junior technicians in test methods and our quality management system
Allocate tasks to technicians
Collaborate with clients to ensure high-quality project outcomes
Motivate and lead the team with enthusiasm and positive energy
Na tou rourou | What you'll bring
Ideally you will have a degree or diploma in Geography, Geology, Earth Sciences, Physical Science, or similar
Experience as an IANZ KTP
A full, clean NZ driver's licence
Physically capable to handle and test samples up to 25 kg
Excellent digital and data skills
Great problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
Attention to detail, accuracy and quality
Hardworking, self-motivated and a positive attitude
Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaborate with team members
Ability to manage project objectives
Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
Safety conscious
