Job Description
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
As Warehouse Operations Team Leader, you’ll be at the forefront of best practice inventory and warehouse management, supporting strategic partners and business leads to deliver outcomes that matter. Reporting to the Supply Chain Enterprise Lead, you’ll guide a small team (Inventory Adviser & Stores Operator) and collaborate with our Strategic Sourcing Specialists, technology product managers, Asset Managers and Finance teams to lift our stores to new heights. Your days will be spent driving continuous improvement, optimising costs, and mitigating risks across supply chain activities – all while ensuring safety, compliance, and a high level of customer service.
Based onsite at our Wairākei power station, you’ll work closely with maintenance planners, schedulers, and site services to keep everything running smoothly. Travel may be required from time to time to connect with our wider Procurement team based at our various sites across Aotearoa.
Qualifications
Ko wai koe | About you
You bring experience in inventory and warehouse management, and you’ve led employees or contractors before. Your working knowledge of SAP-based procurement, materials management, and work planning processes is a must-have, as is a current forklift licence. If you’re methodical, conscientious, and have a knack for clear communication – especially when it comes to complex ideas - you’ll thrive here. Integrity and high personal standards are essential, and your ability to build relationships, influence, and negotiate will set you apart. If you’re also familiar with power plant or facilities maintenance, or have strengths in stock management and record keeping, that’s a bonus. Most importantly, you’re someone who delivers consistent, meaningful service and enjoys solving problems for the long term.
