About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Douglas Starship Simulation team to promote, facilitate and provide simulation-based training to maximise health care delivery, enhance patient outcomes and promote clinical excellence and evidenced-based professional nursing practice.
We have a permanent, part-time (0.6FTE) position available for a highly motivated nurse to work as a Nurse Educator.
About the Team / Service / Location
The Douglas Starship Simulation Programme provides simulation education, training and resource both locally to the Starship Children`s Hospital and wider Aotearoa / New Zealand Paediatric services through an outreach programme.
We are a multidisciplinary team with a background in acute paediatric clinical care and a passion for improving clinical care for our tamariki / children and whanau / families.
The anticipated outcomes of the programme are the promotion of learning through simulation-based activities resulting in systems improvement, enhanced multidisciplinary teamwork and clinician confidence leading to enhanced patient safety.
About you
The successful applicant will :
