Head of Talent Acquisition at North Projects

About Us

North Projects is a specialist advisor and consultancy to property, construction, and development projects. We deliver successful project outcomes by managing cost, scope, risk, design, feasibility, and programme. Our clients include State governments, local councils, company boards, financiers, developers, builders, governments, PPP Sponsors and tertiary education providers.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, our Executive Director New Zealand (NZ) opportunity has overall responsibility for the leadership, delivery and management of projects, staff and business management in NZ. You will provide strong leadership to our NZ team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance. You will also form part of North’s Senior Leadership team and continue to lead the integration of advisory service offerings to our thriving cost excellence business within NZ.

The ideal candidate will be able to make difficult decisions between growth and profitability, hold teams accountable and create a winning environment of support and success.

Responsibilities of this position will include :

  • Cultivating a healthy, effective team dynamic among the leadership team while planning and executing North’s long-term vision that drives sustainable growth for NZ

Leadership :

  • Leading a high performing, results-orientated team by motivating, inspiring and delegating to others

    • P&L Ownership :

  • Developing and executing the strategic plan for NZ, while monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for revenue growth and cost saving opportunities.

    • Clients and Business Development :

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and understanding client needs to refine North’s localised strategy.

    • When assessing your application, we’re looking for :

  • A track record of leading revenue generating teams within consulting, ideally with experience across civil infrastructure
  • A strong background in people management, with exceptional leadership and team building capabilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting and P&L responsibility
  • Resourcefulness. At North we require leaders to roll up their sleeves and dig into large strategic challenges as well as day to day activities
