Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As a Senior Planner / Scheduler, you’ll play a key role in shaping the public transport network across Canterbury. You’ll lead strategic planning and design initiatives, using data-driven insights and specialised software to optimise services and improve customer experience. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and community groups to ensure our network reflects the needs of our growing region.

You’re a strategic thinker with a passion for public transport and community outcomes. You bring strong technical expertise in transport planning, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. You’re confident working with data, software tools, and diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful change.

Mātau ā-Wheako | Experience

Ideally, you’ll have a tertiary qualification in transport planning, civil engineering, or a related field along with :

Hours of work – Permanent Full time, 40 hours per week

Location - Based at Environment Canterbury Offices – 200 Tuam Street, Christchurch

Salary - The indicative salary range for the role is $87,491 to $108,078 per annum based on skills and experience. The specific salary will be discussed at interview stage.
