Weed Spraying / Industrial Grounds Maintenance

Agman provides a range of vegetation control services (primarily weed spraying) to rural and commercial clients throughout Taranaki and further afield.

We are an established and successful small business, and pride ourselves on our professionalism and the quality of our work.

We have a intermediate to senior position available for somebody with a suitable skill set and who is available to start as soon as possible.

Your role will be varied.

You could be working on industrial or oil and gas sites doing total vegetation ground spraying or garden maintenance.

At other times, you may be out on farms doing gun spraying; targeting gorse, ragwort, thistles, or similar.

We also do biodiversity and biosecurity pest plant work, which will have you hunting out pest plants in varied terrain and controlling them with the best method for the situation.

We aim to work in teams of two, but you may be required to work alone at times.

Ideal candidates will have the following :

Practical thinker

Basic weed identification skills

Basic maintenance skills

Good initiative and common sense

Focus on health and safety

Reasonable level of fitness (capable of walking up a hill)

Well presented

You need to be a good worker with a great work ethic to excel in this role.

Close enough is not good enough for us.

You must be able to provide an exceptional service to our clients.

Having a Growsafe Standard qualification would automatically shortlist you for this role.

However, it is not essential, as we would be willing to put a suitable candidate through this qualification.

Other useful qualifications to have would be :

Common Permit to Work

Gas Testing

Comprehensive First Aid

Chainsaw

You will need to have full class one driver's license and be competent at driving a manual vehicle.

We are based a few minutes out of Waitara.
