Diesel Mechanic

Peter Sole Transport Ltd is looking for a suitable experienced and qualified person, with sound knowledge of heavy transport, to join our team to maintain and service our fleet of trucks, trailers & machinery.

• Full time / Permanent position-Competitive hourly rate-Variety of workThis role is responsible for all aspects in our heavy truck workshop to ensure all jobs are carried out to the highest quality, meeting timeframes and all requested faults or repairs are completed.You will be responsible and accountable for : -Continuously liaising with the Dispatch Manager for availability of vehicles for maintenance-Co-ordinate and undertake any unplanned work in the case of breakdowns and emergencies-Run a well organised, clean and tidy work areaTo be successful in this application you will need : -Proven work history / experience in the transport industry-Ability to work in a team or independently-Positive work attitude-Class 5 Driver's License or be prepared to attain one-Sound general knowledge of machineryWe will offer the successful applicant : -Good rates of pay aligned to experience-Permanent employment with job security-Flexibility in "normal" workday hours-Variety of work
