The Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic.

Your primary focus will be servicing our fleet regularly, fault finding, repairing, maintaining, and testing motor vehicles and other internal combustion engines and related mechanical components of our trucks and equipment.

Are you the right fit?

To succeed in this role, you will need :

Minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy vehicle mechanical work, including :

Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts

Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts

Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to ensure smooth vehicle operation and compliance with pollution regulations

A Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate and experience in preventive maintenance and diagnostics

The ability to work independently to produce high-quality workmanship

Ability to work on a range of jobs, including trucks and stationary engines

Workplace health, safety, and environmental awareness

Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
