Diesel Mechanic / Workshop Supervisor

Peter Sole Transport Ltd is looking for a suitable experienced and qualified person, with sound knowledge of heavy transport, to join our team to maintain and service our fleet of trucks, trailers & machinery.

This role is responsible for carrying out and overseeing all aspects in our heavy truck workshop to ensure all jobs are carried out to the highest quality meeting timeframes and all requested faults or repairs are completed.

You will be responsible and accountable for :

Knowing the progress of all jobs and when services / COF's are due

Continuously liaising with the Dispatch Manager for availability of vehicles for maintenance

Co-ordinate and undertake any unplanned work in the case of breakdowns and emergencies

Run a well organised, clean and tidy work area

To be successful in this application you will need :

Proven work history / experience in the transport industry

Experience managing a workshop facility or the right attitude to do so

Ability to work in a team or independently

Positive work attitude

Class 5 Driver's License or be prepared to attain one

Sound general knowledge of machinery
