Team Supervisor

Are you an experienced and proactive leader with a passion for healthcare administration and people management?

We're looking for a Team Supervisor to join a large, respected healthcare organisation based in Greenlane for a 3–6 month temporary assignment, with potential to extend into a longer-term opportunity.In this crucial role, you will provide effective day-to-day operational leadership to a busy and dedicated patient administration team.

Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, flexible and patient-centred booking and reception services, ensuring timely access to care across the organisation.

The role :

Provide hands-on daily supervision and operational support to the admin team

Delegate tasks effectively, considering individual strengths and experience

Coordinate and monitor workloads, ensuring efficiency and service quality

Support recruitment, onboarding, and team development activities

Lead and participate in performance management processes

Assist the Business Support Manager in delivering consistent standards and processes across the team

Promote team-building and a culture of continuous improvement

The ideal candidate will :

Demonstrate a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to apply its principles in your work

Have proven leadership experience in a healthcare or clinical administration setting

Bring strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities

Be confident in decision-making and working under pressure

Be skilled in coaching, performance management, and leading through change

Have excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Be tech-savvy with sound computer skills (MS Office and other healthcare systems)

Understand the structure, processes, and values of healthcare organisations

Be a natural team builder with a clear professional vision and the ability to motivate others
