We’re looking for a driven and experienced  Operations Manager – Optical  to lead our  New Zealand Fit Centre  at the  Henderson Laboratory . This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee daily operations, elevate team performance, and ensure exceptional service delivery to our customers.

What You’ll Be Responsible For :

  • Customer Experience Leadership - Ensure lab operations consistently meet service and quality KPIs, delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Customer Satisfaction - Lead the resolution of customer complaints through root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective actions.
  • Operational Efficiency- Monitor and manage Unit Manufacturing Costs (UMC), keeping operations within budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement- Drive initiatives to enhance production processes, systems, and infrastructure for long-term efficiency and scalability.
  • Team Culture & Engagement- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and pride in service delivery, promoting high performance and collaboration.
  • People Development - Support recruitment, onboarding, and training to build a skilled, engaged, and motivated team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with the commercial team to ensure seamless business execution and alignment with commercial goals.
  • Ownership & Accountability - Champion a culture of responsibility across Operations and Customer Service, with a strong focus on delivering excellence

About You

You’re a confident, hands-on leader with a passion for driving results and empowering teams. While experience in the optical industry is a bonus, it’s your leadership, operational know-how, and customer-first mindset that will set you apart.

  • Tech-Savvy : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Decisive & Analytical : Confident in making decisions and solving problems using data and insights
