Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Infrastructure Capital team in Auckland.

This role is central to supporting the planning, sourcing, and management of best practice procurement across the infrastructure delivery side of the organisation.

You will apply strategic methodologies, systems, and tools throughout the procurement lifecycle to ensure value for money and effective delivery of the National Land Transport Programme.As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, manage end-to-end procurement processes, and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders.

You'll work closely with business owners to shape procurement requirements and support performance monitoring, and supplier engagement.

• Qualifications :
• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Working towards a CIPS (or similar) qualification is desirable.

NZTA is not only responsible for its own procurement requirements, but it also leads procurement practice across much of the land transport sector.Strong understanding of procurement practices, with construction, physical works or related professional services procurement experience preferred.
