With a philosophy of empowering 'parents as first educators', Playcentre seeks to empower whanau and tamariki to work, play, learn and grow together, and today has over 400 centres nationwide.About the role : As a session facilitator, you'll support parents, caregivers, and tamariki to run smooth, engaging sessions while modelling Playcentre philosophy and good practice.
You'll help build whanau confidence, encourage emergent leadership, and adapt your support to each centre's needs.Duties include but are not limited to : Building strong, responsive relationships with tamariki, recognising their strengths, interests, and cultural identities.Encouraging exploration, creativity, problem-solving, and independence through rich, open-ended play.Supporting safe, well-prepared sessions by ensuring environments, resources, and equipment are ready and engaging.Thursdays 8.45am to
You are hands-on, organised, independent, and adaptable, helping create a space where others feel confident to join in.You will also demonstrate : Strong communication, relationship-building, and engagement skillsRelevant ECE or primary teaching qualifications (Playcentre Course 3 / Level 4+, ECE degree / diploma, or primary teaching)Experience in coaching parents / caregivers and handling challengesAbility to foster teamwork and empower membersNZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.How to applyTo apply, please visit the vacancy link and submit your application online.
