The role involves maintaining and updating websites and digital tools to deliver key content and messages in line with New Zealand government web standards and best practice, ensuring information is easy to understand for diverse customers and communities.Permanent Full-time | WellingtonSalary Range : $75,114 - $88,266 + KiwiSaver + Wellness BenefitsResponsibilitiesThe Digital Engagement Advisor works within the Online Channels team to support delivery of digital improvements and customer-focused content across MBIE portals.
You will help ensure that our websites and digital tools are well-maintained, regularly updated, and effectively deliver key content following NZ government web standards and best practice.Skills and Experience RequiredYou are a versatile and high performing individual, who is passionate about the online environment and delivering positive outcomes to our diverse audiences.Knowledge of the NZ Government standards for accessibility and usability, accessibility charter requirements, and an understanding of web best practice and digital trends.Ability to edit and maintain websites in Content Management Systems, preferably Silverstripe or similar, with experience in improving website usability and accessibility.Ability to write and communicate complex technical information accurately and clearly in accessible plain language for the web, including legislation or technical guidance.Ability to manage time and competing priorities to ensure high-quality results on time.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team to achieve group / branch priorities from planning to delivery and reporting.Ability to work confidently without having the total picture and to handle uncertainty.Ability to use website analytics (Google Analytics).
