We operate under the Electricity Act 1992 and the Gas Act 1992 and are responsible for developing and applying internationally accepted electrical and gas safety standards for New Zealand.

Our team is committed to promoting and ensuring the safe supply and use of gas and electricity.

It works with industry and the public to promote high safety and quality standards in networks, installations and products.We are a small, but supportive team based in locations across Aotearoa.

We have regular virtual catchups to stay connected as a team across our work and socially.

You will have a close working relationship closely with our other Team Leader, working in an aligned and coordinated way.

You will contribute and grow people and team management best practice to ensure desired outcomes are being risk manage and achieved.

Relevant industry experience or expertise in areas such as technical expertise in a related area of electricity, gas and / or compliance and regulatory enforcement would be viewed as favourable.

As part of the team, you'll liaise with industry and have a significant impact on electricity safety through interventions which change industry and public behaviour.

The appointment range for the successful candidate will be from step 1 $138,259 to the midpoint $152,991.

Note : KiwiSaver / SSRSS employer contribution is additional too / on top of your base salary.
