Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for an Agency Accountant to join our hardworking and tightknit team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
As a vital member of our Finance team, you'll play a key role in collaboration with the other members of the team and in support of the Chief Accountant.
Your focus will be on a variety of key processes within our French speaking agencies, dealing with financial reports, financial audits, month end closing and assisting with general agency finance functions.
Here is some of what you will be doing : Preparing monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reportsInventory processingPreparing reconciliations, overhead reporting and journals Assisting with the preparation of month-end and year-end accountsResponding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting dataMaintaining an accurate and complete general ledger Other duties as requiredThis full-time role is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and / or Pre-Employment Drug Test.QualificationsHere's what you'll bring to the table : A tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance (preferable)At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting rolesThe ability to communicate fluently in French is essentialAdvance Level Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with the Alpha3 and Cargowise systems (desirable) Great communication and organisational skillsAbility to work autonomously as well as within a teamThis role will require you to bring strong financial literacy with a solution focused approach.
